Global Climate Change Challenge
Have you got an idea using technology to help the planet? We are helping students to prepare for a global Climate Change Challenge sponsored by Burjeel Holdings and Oxford Saïd Business School, where students can pitch their ideas for a chance to present on a global stage at COP28 in Dubai -- all expenses paid.
What is it?
Our Digital Incubator: Climate Change Challenge , is a new 4-week development and mentoring programme that is open to all teens to help you develop green tech project ideas, presentation skills, and projects pitches. You will:
- Work in teams to develop your project value proposition, business model, minimum viable product, plan, a slide presentation, and 3-minute video that can be submitted to the global Climate Change Challenge and/or to other project supporters
- Connect with a community of students and mentors that can help you during the programme term.
Our Digital Incubator programme is designed to help young talent to develop digital and entrepreneurial skills, while raising funds to help build a sustainable community education programme. Our goal is to support students to launch their own green tech projects and businesses.
*Digital Camp participants of the Climate Change Challenge will be judged as all other entrants and there is no guarantee that their entries will be shortlisted.
Programme Schedule
Our Digital Incubator: Climate Change Challenge 4-week programme will run every Monday or Tuesday from 6-8pm GMT starting week commencing 18th September – 10th October.
Sessions will be recorded in the event that you are unable to attend on these dates. Alternative dates may be scheduled subject to availability of mentors and other team members. Members may also be invited to join the next Digital Camp and Incubator Showcase likely to be held mid October.
Project Development
At the end of the 4-week programme, students that wish to continue developing their projects may be invited to receive additional support from mentors. Invited teams may join our extended Digital Incubator & Hackathon programme to build a proof of concept and present their idea to potential customers, partners, and sponsors for support and investment.
Our Digital Incubator programme provides increasing levels of support with each cohort through our mentor matching programme that is aligned to student goals for each term.
